Transported by Ferrari to the RAC

Sorry the blog has been quiet for a few weeks but Barrie has been busy with all manor of activities. Bank holiday Saturday he and Marie-Therese went to France with me to collect my Krugger show bike which was a real deal, after a fine lunch in the Hotel du Centre, Wimereux with Fred Krugger, the bike was unloaded from the posh Krugger van duly fired up and I followed Marie-Therese and Barrie back to the port in Calais on arrival I had a problem with the hydraulic clutch and we wondered if it would make it onto the ferry. it did and I followed MT & B back to Kent for the rest of the week-end. Since then Barrie has seen the kidney specialist Dr. David Goldsmith who said his kidneys were working at about 35% only and this was irreparable damage from the accident. Not very good news. He is still hampered by two bad hernias which will be fixed only in November by Prof Mundy.

On a brighter front thanks to the BRDC Barrie has been able to continue with hydra therapy and gym exercises at the RAC in Pall Mall, today he was given a lift by his chum in a Ferrari 430 which was a real treat. It was a rare black one with yellow callipers on ceramic brakes, Top stuff, Barrie will be driven to Silverstone tomorrow by Marie-Therese for the Le Mans series race where no doubt he will find some old chums.
