Barrie made it to
Silverstone on Saturday meeting up with many old
friends for the 1st time since the accident. despite
his handicaps he managed to walk to the pits and is
seen here with HSCC race director Grahame White,
Breda and Marie-Therese. There were over 400 entries
to the Silverstone meeting and Barrie saw some of his
favourite cars up close including a beautiful
B.T.8.Brabham Climax, lots of Chevron B8's and many
others. The weather was kind and lunch at the BRDC
club house was enjoyable with Peter and Dianne Smith
who had come from Yorkshire especially to meet up
with Barrie.
